BBB to Ring NYSE Bell to Celebrate Centennial
100 years of trust in the marketplace
Evansville, IN.- July 27, 2012 –
Carrie A. Hurt, interim president and CEO at Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB), will have the special privilege of ringing the New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell today, July 27.
This bell-ringing event celebrates 100 years of BBB efforts to advance trust in the marketplace, and honors the high standards upheld by BBB Accredited businesses and charities.
Hurt will be accompanied by Metro New York BBB President and CEO Claire Rosenzweig; Metro New York BBB Board Chair Rhonda J. McLean, Deputy General Counsel of Time Inc.; members of the CBBB management team; and members of the Metro New York BBB Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
The ringing of the bell will be filmed by NYSE Euronext and uploaded to their YouTube channel (
